A Community of Joy and Justice
We come from backgrounds of faith and no faith. We welcome all who are motivated by spiritual or moral conscience to act in service of a more just and joyful world around us. We are a laboratory for thought and action; we study and discern collectively. Listen here to our Spotify Soul on Fire playlist.
We believe that we humans were built for personal connection and collective belonging. We invite all seekers interested in our community to join us in conversation, shared experience, mutual care and concern, joyful play and contemplative ritual.
We spend time in study and deliberate conversation about the world around us. We commit ourselves to interpersonal justice within our community. Individually and collectively we further commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice writ large.
The purpose of all self-governance is solely the common welfare of the community. Servant leaders rotate, operate in a group, and are trusted with the ability to discern and pursue the community's needs and goals.
Equity is a thefoundation of Soul on Fire. We believe that we are more like than we are different and that no Creator - nor any fellow human - should care to perceive or measure ta difference in the value of any human life. We embrace radical hospitality. We ask ourselves to be accountable to the social reconciliation of racial and economic equity.
